Safety is a top priority at Alvarez Contractors, Inc. Our most valuable assets are the employees whose efforts have enabled us to achieve the level of success we enjoy today.
The safety and well-being of each and every employee is the most important element in protecting that asset. We are committed to equipping our employees to perform their assigned tasks safely.
We continually keep safety at the fore-front of our operations by maintaining a safety and health program that provides regular and on-going trainings in areas such as fall protection, confined spaces, trenching and excavation, personal protective equipment and other areas of potential hazard. All new hires are given pre-employment orientation safety training and tool-box talks are also performed each week. Employees are also subject to the company’s Drug and Alcohol policy.
We value our training program and understand it is an integral part of creating a skilled and knowledgeable work force, focused on safe practices.
ACI Participates in National Fall Protection Stand-Down
May 2-6, 2016
This week, ACI is participating in OSHA’s National Fall Protection Safety Stand-Down Campaign. This is our second year participating in the program, in an effort to raise awareness about the high incident rate of fall safety related injuries on the job. Our focus is on educating our employees about safe work practices for fall prevention, especially ladder safety, lift safety, wearing proper PPE, policies and procedures, as well as other areas.
Educational materials are posted around the jobsites and toolbox talks will be performed, in addition to hazard inspections and analyses, PPE demonstrations and review of our fall protection policy.
