Operating throughout West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia we have completed over $70 million in water and wastewater treatment plant construction and other heavy utility construction contracts in the last ten years.

Alvarez Contractors, Inc. was formed in 1976 and began as a small, underground utility contractor in Clarksburg, WV.  After being incorporated in West Virginia in 1983, we expanded over the last 30 years to specialize in many other areas within the industry, such as water and wastewater treatment plant construction.

Our main office is located in Spring Dale, West Virginia with offices in  Oakland, MD and Inwood, WV as well.

Our key personnel and management staff have been with our firm for over 20 years, providing extensive experience in the water/wastewater and utility contracting industry.  A large percentage of onsite construction is performed by our own team of skilled and professional employees, giving the Owner a continuity of work in the many construction services we provide.
